Skiing in Vail
Skiing in Vail is Like Nothing On Earth. With more than 5,000 acres to explore, including the legendary Back Bowls and Blue Sky Basin, Vail Mountain is a skiers paradise in the true sense of the word. Nearly 200 trails are split between beginner/intermediate terrain and advanced/expert terrain - giving skiers and snowboarders of all ability levels room to explore. Rising 3,450 feet from base to summit and topping out at 11,570 feet above sea level, Vail Mountain's elevation creates epic ski conditions year after year.
The legendary Vail terrain includes:
- Mid Mountain with it's Five Star grooming and family-friendly adventure zones,
- Golden Peak where ski lessons in Vail are based
- Northwoods Bowl for early morning powder, tree skiing, and expert pitches
- Game Creek Bowl that offers bowl skiing for every ability level
- China Bowl for wide open turns
- Sun Up & Sun Down Bowl for the stunning panoramic views
- Siberia & Mongolia Bowl for ungroomed, variable terrain that powder seekers crave
- Blue Sky Basin for sidecountry meadows and glades and views of the surrounding mountains
Vail's commitment to grooming includes increased grooming in the Back Bowls, making this amazing terrain more accessible for beginner and intermediate skiers, as well as grooming additional iconic runs for everyone to enjoy.
